the path through the woods

was driving from Fanling to Tsuen Wan after a site meeting and on the way to another. didn't want to take the usual route and saw the sign saying Tsuen Wan, that's the way to go. been driving for more than 10 mins and there was no one to be seen on the road...not a car, not a pedestrian on the pavement...the sun was hitting hard on the black body of the car, even modern technology of climate control has refused to battle further. i opened the windows as well as the skylight, let the light and the breeze to enter the interior of the car without restraint. though the car was moving forward, there was no sound, the noise of the engine was cloaked by the friction between the metallic body and the air.

time seems to be standing still.

for a moment, the reality and fantasy seems to have fused. the time is no longer contemporary, the world is no longer now... after the next corner, what will i see? there was not a single soul around except me and my black stallion...
